Twin Wall Insulated Flues

I don’t have a chimney but i’d like a stove!……….no problem!

If you don’t have a proper brick built chimney you can still enjoy a real fire by using a twin wall insulated flue system. These are a stainless steel flue surrounded by insulation and finished with an outer skin of stainless. They’re relatively cool to the touch on the outside surface.

A 6 inch twin wall insulated flue usually has an outer diameter of approx 8 inch and a 5 inch flue has an outer of approx 7 inch. These flues come in a chrome finish but can also be powder coated black.

Twin wall insulated flues can be placed through an external wall and up the outside of a building or they can run indoors through lower and upper ceilings. These can then be boxed in with a timber frame, plasterboarded and emulsioned/wallpapered or they can be incorporated into fitted wardrobes. You wouldn’t even know it was there!

Twin wall insulated flues can be placed within 50mm of combustible materials which enables simple routing of the flue throughout the house with minimal disruption. Very often no redecoration is required afterwards.

Fabrication of False Chimney Breast

If you don’t have a chimney breast or fireplace but would still like that traditional look we can do it!

This is achieved by installing a twin wall insulated prefabricated flue system.  The twin wall flue is connected to the stove and removes the exhaust gases from the woodburner and clear of the property.

We can then build a false chimney breast to surround the stove which creates the traditional looking fireplace you’ve always wanted.

The false chimney breast in the gallery underneath complies fully with all building regulations.  Steel studwork is used to build the structure, the outer is plaster boarded and the inner walls of the recess are created from Compressed Vermiculite which can be painted in a good quality, water based, matt emulsion.
